NBA 2K enforcement
On September 24, 2026, 2K reported permanent bans for unfair shooting aids and input-manipulation scripts. Device connectivity does not establish permission.
What you are comparing
| Feature | Manual timing | Configured controller sequence |
|---|---|---|
| Who produces the input? | You respond to the motion and feedback | A configured sequence follows its trigger |
| What belongs in the setup record? | Jumper, input, cue and game conditions | The same record plus device and script configuration |
| What explains a result? | Complete attempts under the recorded conditions | Complete attempts under the recorded conditions |
| What can a practice log establish? | Your recorded observations | Your recorded observations, with the added configuration documented |
Why manual practice is the starting point
Choose a shot you can repeat and a visual landmark you can recognize. Keep the setup unchanged while you learn the feedback. This helps you identify whether a difficult result comes from reading the motion, executing the input or changing the situation.
A manual baseline also gives you a reference for evaluating another approach. Without it, a claim that a setup is easier or more consistent has no comparison from your own sessions.
Include the configuration work
Count the instructions, versions and adjustments needed to reproduce the setup. A result that depends on several undocumented changes will be difficult to revisit after an update.
Look for a clear explanation of each control and a way to restore the earlier configuration. Compare documentation and support scope separately from any claim about made shots.
Keep the comparison fair
Use the same complete jumper and separate stationary shots from attempts after movement. Keep online and offline sessions in different groups. Retain the misses and use the same inclusion rules for both approaches.
The tracker summarizes values you enter; it doesn't measure NBA 2K or verify a script. A useful conclusion names the conditions it covers and the observations behind it.

If you’re comparing configuration requirements, use the feature descriptions in CZC’s NBA 2K27 script listings as a starting point for questions about controls and support. A listing does not establish a measured advantage over manual timing.
