What a controller sequence changes

The GPC reference describes commands that start, stop and restart a combo. Those controls describe an input sequence. They don't provide a readout of NBA 2K's internal shooting state.

When a feature description says timing assistance, ask which action starts the sequence, which output changes and how it ends. A name by itself doesn't tell you whether the script operates on a button, a stick or a combination.

Three checks before a gameplay claim

First identify whether the hardware combination is supported. Next check whether the intended input reaches the console. Then evaluate the stated game result under the conditions in the claim. Success at an earlier step doesn't answer the later questions.

Read a listing before relying on it

Look for a named version, documented controls and a clear explanation of what an adjustment changes. Save the instructions that match the version you're assessing. A clip without the setup and unsuccessful attempts gives you little basis for a repeatable comparison.
